Hooray for the fifth of May! On Friday, May 5, Tallboy Taco will celebrate Cinco de Mayo with an array of festive food and drink specials. From 5-7 p.m., the River North taqueria will feature classic Margaritas, spicy Palomas and “Mi Casa Su Casa” cocktails for $8 each (regularly $11; detailed below). For tequila purists, an Avion tequila flight will be offered for $15 and Avion Blanco and Casamigo Blanco shots will be $10, all day. Cinco de Mayo celebrants may enjoy live Latin beats by resident DJ X from 5 p.m. until 2 a.m.

Jerry’s will celebrate Mother’s Day with a cocktail for mom and crafts for the kids. The Lincoln Square and Andersonville restaurants will treat mothers to a complimentary mimosa as well as a “red envelope” gift (envelope contains surprise prizes). Children dining at Jerry’s will enjoy table crafts and a kids’ menu, detailed below.

The large menu, perfect for pleasing all palates, includes more than
 100 varieties of sandwiches.
