Bakersfield restaurant is celebrating their new, private label “Pioneer” Cabernet Sauvignon, created by sister-concept Standard Market in collaboration with the Barra family winery of Mendocino. Now through November 15, guests dining at Bakersfield will receive a bottle of Pioneer for one penny with the purchase of two salads, sandwiches, entrees or signature wood-fired grill dishes from the new Fall menu (Four Farmers Salad; Royale Burger; Knuckle Sandwich; Knife & Fork Fried Chicken; House Roasted Prime Rib; Grilled Pork Chop; Pan Roasted Chilean Sea Bass; Housemade Gnocchi; and more). Executive Chef Patrick Cassata’s recently-launched lunch and dinner offerings may be viewed at http://www.
Pioneer Cabernet is available exclusively at Standard Market, Standard Market Grill and Bakersfield restaurant. This velvety blend (80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot, 5% old vine Petite Sirah) showcases flavors of sweet red fruits and cloves framed with spicy, sweet oak and a touch of vanilla. The name “Pioneer” pays homage to winemaker and farmer Charlie Barra, a pioneer in the California wine industry, and also represents Standard Market, a pioneer in food retail and restaurants that source from within.
A bottle of Pioneer Cabernet retails at the restaurant for $39. To redeem a bottle for a penny with the purchase of two dishes, diners must simply mention the offer to their server. The discount cannot be combined with any other offers or promotions. Dine-in only; wine for consumption with meal. “Pioneer for a Penny” runs through November 15, 2013
