Tapping Party: Tuesday, October 4
5:30 p.m. – 7 p.m.
Free to Attend
October is National Breast Cancer Awareness month and Rock Bottom Brewery is supporting the cause through philanthropy and pints. On Tuesday, October 4 at 5:30 p.m., Brewmaster Chris Rafferty will unveil “Wonderbrew,” a refreshing American wheat beer conditioned with raspberries. While sampling will be complimentary, the sales from Wonderbrew will benefit a local breast cancer cause, The Lynn Sage Foundation’s “In Good Taste” campaign.
Representatives from The Lynn Sage Foundation will be on hand collecting donations in exchange for pink ribbons, and will also be selling raffle tickets for a 50/50 split (winner announced at 7 p.m.). Every guest that purchases a pink ribbon will receive a complimentary pint of Wonderbrew.
Following this tapping and awareness event on October 4, Rock Bottom’s Wonderbrew will be available throughout the month of October (while supplies last). Rock Bottom will donate $0.25 cents of every Wonderbrew pint purchased ($5.25) to The Lynn Sage Foundation.
The Lynn Sage Foundation, established by the family of Lynn Sage, is committed to the discovery of a cure for breast cancer. To achieve this goal, the Foundation has partnered with the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University, a nationally recognized leader in breast cancer care, education and research. The Cancer Center, under the direction of Dr. Steven T. Rosen, is one of only two National Cancer Institutes designated a “Comprehensive” Cancer Center in the State of Illinois. The Cancer Center’s solid, well-established program in breast cancer research is fortified by a state-of-the-art, 15,000-square-foot research facility that was opened in the spring of 2005. www.lynnsagefoundation.org
