Three Area Restaurants Offer Cocktails, Flights and Bottle Service

Tequila is so revered that it has garnered its own holiday. Tuesday, July 24 marks “National Tequila Day” and three area restaurants will celebrate by featuring 100-percent agave options, from tequila cocktails and flights to bottle service.
Nacional 27
From Monday, July 23 to Thursday, July 26, River North’s Nacional 27 will offer tequila aficionados two specialty flights. The modern Latin restaurant and lounge will feature a Margarita flight ($15) and a Fortaleza tequila flight ($20). Those that imbibe between 5-7 p.m. may pair the flights with half-priced tapas and ceviche in the lounge.
Margarita Flight, $15
N27 Margarita – El Jimador Reposado, Bacardi Anejo, Cointreau, lime
El Corazon – El Jimador Blanco, pomegranate, passion, blood orange, salt n’ pepper rim
Watermelon – Fresh muddled watermelon, Herradura Silver, Rhum Clément Creole, lime juice and hibiscus-lime agave syrup
Fortaleza Tequila Flight, $20
Blanco, reposado, anejo
ZOCALO Restaurant & Tequila Bar
On Tuesday, July 24, Zocalo will offer over 120 blanco, reposado and anejo tequila pours at half-price. They will also offer three bottles of tequila at half-price, which may be stored in their on-site tequila lockers for future sipping (El Jimador Blanco $50, regularly $100; Don Julio Reposado $65, regularly $130; Gran Centenario Anejo $75, regularly $150). The “Tacos y Tequila” Tuesday special will also be available (all-you-care-to-eat tacos for $12).
Taco Joint Urban Taqueria and Cantina
On Tuesday, July 24, say “ole” to Taco Joint’s Tuesday “Tequila!” deal which features all tequila pours and flights at half-price. For National Tequila Day, the Lincoln Park-located taqueria and cantina will also offer complimentary tequila bottle locker service with the purchase of three featured bottles: El Jimador Blanco $50, regularly $100; Don Julio Reposado $65, regularly $130; and Gran Centenario Anejo $75, regularly $150.
