Week Long Celebration in Streeterville
July 16 – July 22
Free to Attend
A fun fete is truly in order when a restaurant and pub marks 20 successful years in business. Timothy O’Toole’s Pub, located in Chicago’s Streeterville neighborhood, will throw a week long party from Monday, July 16 to Sunday, July 22. A host of theme nights, featured drinks, contests and keepsakes will be offered; the 20th anniversary line up is outlined below.
Nestled between Michigan Avenue and the lake, Timothy O’Toole’s Pub opened its doors to Chicago in 1992 at the southwest corner of Ontario Street and Fairbanks Court. From 1932 to 1960, The Schatz Building housed the Chez Paree supper club, playing host to many of the world’s best-known entertainers, including Frank Sinatra, Louis Armstrong, Bob Hope, Milton Berle, Sammy Davis Jr. and Tony Bennett. In the 70s and 80s, Ding Bats opened as a popular nightclub with a then-unknown TV star named “Mr. T” serving as doorman. Today, Timothy O’Toole’s is a friendly, neighborhood Pub that offers lunch, dinner and drinks seven days a week, along with weekend brunch, comedy shows, satellite boxing matches and more. The subterranean sports venue and Irish Pub has won countless awards for being a top spot in Chicago to watch games (the players must agree, as many local and visiting sports stars tend to celebrate their victories at Timothy O’Toole’s).
